  • METHOD:
    1. Wash the apples in boiling water for 30 seconds and wipe with a kitchen towel to remove any wax. This will ensure that the caramel sticks to them.

  • Use the lollipop sticks to pierce a hole into the apples (about ¾ of the way through).
  •
  • 2. Dip the apples into your caramel, twist in a circular motion to coat completely.
3,4,5. Depending on what spooky design you are going for, add any chocolate sprinkles or chopped nuts while it is sticky.

Place onto a non-stick silicone baking mat (so its easy to clean up later!) and leave to set in the fridge.

TIPS:
- We used chocolate sprinkles and chocolate pens to create most of the faces.
- Cocktail sticks are quite handy to move any odd sprinkles into of position.
- For the spider, we pierced holes into the apple before dipping it into the caramel and used non-edible pipe cleaners.
- For a different look, why not dip some of your apples into white chocolate and create ghosts, ghouls and goblins…!!
